Getting the most from Compare

Compare puts FPL players side by side so you can settle a transfer on the numbers, not on a hunch. Add players with the search; they’re grouped by position, because a defender and a forward score in different ways. Each card shows expected points, form, average fixture difficulty and price, with the better figure in each row highlighted, plus the next five opponents. “See more” opens the full set of stats.

What makes a fair comparison

• Same position, similar price. That’s the real choice you face when you make a transfer.
• Minutes first. A player who starts every week usually beats a better one who gets rotated.
• Chances, not just goals. Expected goal involvements show who keeps getting into good positions. A player scoring far above his expected goals often cools off.
• The next five fixtures. Coloured from 1 (easy) to 5 (hard), using Fantasy’s own ratings. A kind run can matter more than last month’s form.
• Value. A cheaper player who scores nearly as much frees money to upgrade someone else.
