This policy explains what information I collect and how it is used when you use Pitchline. Pitchline is an unofficial Fantasy Premier League helper with free Premier League games (Last Fan Standing, Six and its side games, and daily puzzles) — not affiliated with Fantasy Premier League, the Premier League, clubs, or players. Stats and identification imagery come from public free APIs / public image URLs only; Pitchline does not log into Fantasy accounts.

Information I collect

• Account details — email address and password (stored securely hashed). There is no display name or public manager profile. When you join, I record the date you agreed to these terms and this policy. You may optionally save a timezone preference for deadline reminder emails, and choose which reminder emails you get and which games they cover
• FPL team link — the optional Fantasy Premier League team ID you choose to connect
• Watchlist — Fantasy Premier League player IDs you bookmark to keep an eye on (private to your account)
• Games — the nickname you choose for each game, the pools and leagues you join, and your picks and predictions. Your nickname, picks, and scores are shown to other players on that game’s tables: inside your private pool or league, or publicly for Beat the Heroes, Scorers, Season picks, Captain Call, and Five-a-Side. Private Six leagues can also run a Knockout Cup from members’ Six scores, and Five-a-Side has its own private leagues. Picks stay hidden until the deadline (Season picks until the GW19 lock). Signed-in guesses and answers for the four daily puzzles (Guess the player, Higher or Lower, Pitch Grid, Career Path) are saved to keep your streaks
• Messages — contact-form submissions and any replies I send
• Spam protection — when enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile may verify public form submissions such as contact, join, password reset, and verification resend (Cloudflare processes a short-lived challenge token; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy)
• Usage data — publicly available FPL player/fixture JSON and publicly available club/player images cached to power the UI
• Site cookies — a session cookie keeps you signed in, and a small marker cookie (up to a year) tells the site you were signed in so pages load the right way. Preference cookies remember your chosen league and Heroes filter on Leagues and your play style for tips (up to a year), and the players you’re comparing or building in Squad lab (up to 30 days). None of these hold personal information beyond your session
• Puzzle cookies — if you play the daily puzzles without signing in, a cookie per puzzle keeps today’s guesses (up to two days) for Guess the player, Higher or Lower, Pitch Grid, and Career Path. The Practice modes of Guess the player and Higher or Lower keep the current round or run and your practice counts in a cookie (up to 30 days). None of these cookies hold personal information
• Analytics — when enabled, Google Analytics may collect anonymised usage metrics such as pages viewed and approximate location, via cookies or similar technology from Google
• Advertising — when enabled, Google AdSense may show ads and use cookies or similar technology to serve and measure ads (including personalised ads where allowed). Visitors in the UK, EEA, and Switzerland are asked for consent first. See how Google uses advertising cookies and Google’s privacy policy. You can manage ad personalisation in your Google account or via browser controls.

How I use it

• To provide Pitchline rankings, squad advice, your watchlist, and your account
• To run the games: lock and score picks, and show tables and results to the other players
• To send email confirmation and password-reset messages, and optional deadline reminder emails about a day before each FPL deadline (with a last call a few hours before if a game pick is still missing)
• To show dates and times in your preferred timezone (saved on your account, or detected from your browser)
• To review contact messages and keep Pitchline safe
• To understand how Pitchline is used so I can improve it
• To show advertising that helps keep Pitchline free

Sharing

I do not sell your personal information. I may use trusted email delivery providers solely to send account-related messages. When analytics or Google AdSense is enabled, Google may process usage and advertising data under their own terms — see Google’s privacy policy.

Retention

I keep account data while your account is active. Game picks, tables, and puzzle history are kept for the season so results and streaks stay correct, and past seasons may be kept for history. A record of each email I send (the address, which email it was, when, and whether it went out) is kept for 90 days to fix delivery problems. Contact messages remain until I remove them. You can ask me to update or delete information via the contact form or your Account settings where available.

Your choices

• Update your timezone (Account → Profile), FPL team, and watchlist under Account (also Watchlist)
• Turn the deadline reminder and the last call on or off separately, and choose which games they cover (Account → Profile). The link in any reminder turns off that email in one click
• Choose any nickname you like for the games — it doesn’t need to be your real name
• Play the daily puzzles without an account if you’d rather not keep a streak
• Contact me to request help with your account

Security

I take reasonable steps to protect your account, including hashed passwords and signed sessions. No online service is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.
