Four quick puzzles a day. A few habits make each one easier, and keep your streak alive.
Guess the player
- Open with a mid-priced regular. A £6–8m midfielder who plays every week tells you a lot whichever way the arrows point.
- Use the arrows like a search. If price says higher and goals say lower, look for a pricey player who doesn’t score much, like a creative midfielder or a defender.
- Lock in what’s green. Once the club or position is green, only guess players who match it.
- Watch the count. The number under the board shows how many players still fit every clue. Aim each guess to cut it down.
Rules: How to play. Practise as much as you like on Practice.
Higher or Lower
- Know the rough ranges. Most players are £4–8m; only a handful are over £10m. Few outfield players have more than 10 goals by midseason.
- Ownership follows price and form. Premiums and cheap regular starters are usually the most owned.
- Points favour defenders more than you’d think. Clean sheets and defensive contributions add up for regular starters on good sides.
- Take your time. There’s no clock; one wrong answer ends the run.
Pitch Grid
- Start with the hardest square. You have nine guesses for nine squares, and each player counts once. Use your best answers where few players fit.
- Save versatile players. A player who fits several squares is worth holding for the one only he can fill.
- Clubs are where players are now, and stats are this season’s, so think current squads.
- Every wrong guess is a square you can’t fill. If you’re unsure, fill the other squares first.
Career Path
- Price tells you the level. £10m+ means a star; £4–5m is a squad player or defender.
- Minutes tell you the role. Near 3,000 is an ever-present starter; under 1,000 is a squad player or an injury-hit year.
- Goals and assists hint at position. Lots of assists, few goals: a creative midfielder or attacking full-back.
- Use the hints from wrong guesses. They tell you if he’s at the same club or plays the same position.
